The Global Ocean Challenge, the Global Ocean Challenge Ventures/ Scholastic partnership and Sailing for Justice is an ideal opportunity to make a real impact on global poverty. Sailing for Justice requires a major sponsor. The cost to sponsor SFJ is less than 1% of 1% of the marketing budget of a major food retailer for Europe for 1 year. The impact this "marketing cost" for poverty will have is far-reaching. This is about giving 30 million destitute people a year the chance to live: men, women and children who otherwise are going to die. Each life lost is precious, each life lost is irreplaceable. Why wait? Together we can push towards an end to poverty.

Sailing for Justice will be contacting many global stars and leaders to enlist support. The help of Bob Geldof, Bono, George Clooney, Bill Clinton and many others would publicise the message that we ordinary people can, if we really care enough, take significant steps to change the world we live in: to make it a better place for all mankind. Most of us love life, it is precious to us, and the life of each person dying each minute of each day, is equally precious.
